family bbq day - updated

a few changes to the family bbq day have been made, so please spread the word!

plan on coming to 10:45AM service on Sunday, August 30. won't it be great to actually see each other in a weekend service?! it seems we rarely see other MnM moms in services, so how cool will it be if we take up an entire section of the sanctuary? (or the cry-room, if that's your pace.)

then, stay for a picnic/bbq lunch in the park right after service. you can load up the cooler before church and throw it in the trunk... and by the time church is out at 12:15, you'll be ready to dig in to some good treats, let the kids run for an hour or two and then head home for a good long nap to round out a perfect sunday with the fam.

sound good?

figured this might be better than waiting for nappers to wake up late in the afternoon - and better for families who don't live in the danville/san ramon area so they don't have to make the drive out twice in one day. AND we need to make use of that amazing park right next door - it's a jewel! - why don't we do this every sunday?!

looking forward to a fun afternoon with you all :o)

!!!!!New Meeting Day Starting in September!!!!!

Mommy & Me is moving to Wednesday mornings starting September 9, 2009!
Be sure to mark your calendars!
We'll continue to meet from 9:30 to 11:30 AM and childcare will remain the same.

We're joining up with other EBF women's groups to focus on a Beth Moore Bible study. We'll meet with all the other women's groups at 9:30 in the main sanctuary and then break off into our Mommy & Me group to go over workbook discussion questions. Here are some of the reasons you'll LOVE this change for the fall season:
1) We'll continue to meet and discuss important topics in our familiar M & M group - we've built great bonds with each other that allow us to be real and open!
2) There is a great potential for new moms who have not yet heard about M & M to join our group!
3) Many of us have been asking questions lately that are something along the lines of, "What does the Bible say about ___?" This study will draw us deeper into the Word and get us studying together!
4) Childcare! We love Phyllis!
5) This is a great opportunity to get "on the same page" with the other women of our church and build relationships with ladies we may have otherwise never met.
6) We'll continue to plan play days and other M & M get-togethers (both with and without the kids) throughout the season.

**AND**
For those of you who would like to add a little kick to your morning, meet up with us at 8:30AM for an hour of power walking and exercise! (Don't worry - no one will mind if we show up to Bible study a little sweaty... We'll be sure to finish up by 9:15 so we can refuel and clean up a bit.)

Bible study workbooks will be available soon, so email Caryn or Jenny to reserve yours!
If you have any questions, be sure to call or email one of us - We'll talk more about it at M & M this week.
Looking forward to studying with you all!

Summer Schedule is Posted!

We've planned out the summer weeks and the schedule has been posted (see the calendar section)... So be sure to pass the word along to anyone who hasn't checked in on the blog - We don't want to leave anyone at the church when we're out on a "field trip"! Be sure to mark your calendar for our next special event - fondue night on Sunday, June 14, at 5:00 PM. More details to come... but leave a comment on this post to let us know if you can make it!

Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday at the church, -c-
